Thank You for Taking Action!

February is MMN Awareness Month, a great opportunity to show solidarity with individuals affected by Multifocal Motor Neuropathy (MMN)—a rare neurological condition where focal areas of multiple motor nerves are targeted by the immune system.

By participating in MMN Awareness Month, you help raise awareness about this condition, increasing the chances of earlier diagnoses and better outcomes for future patients while helping those currently living with MMN feel supported and less alone.

Here are some ways you can get involved:
  • Follow us on social media, engage with our MMN Awareness Month posts, and share them on your pages.
  • Create your own MMN Awareness Month posts on social media, tagging the Foundation to spread the message.
  • Snap a selfie in front of a building lit up in recognition of MMN Awareness Month. Find locations here
  • Wear orange, the official color of MMN Awareness Month, and share a photo of yourself on social media. Let people know why this color matters and how they can support MMN awareness.
MMN Awareness Month Proclamations 2025

What are proclamations?

Proclamations are an official declaration signed by the mayor on behalf of City Council, that officially recognize the importance of an event, a campaign, or an organization of significance, interest or benefit to the citizens of each city for a particular day, week or month. Your council will discuss each proclamation request then vote. The proclamation will then become a permanent part of your council’s minutes. All of these actions create awareness. Which in turn helps every GBS, CIDP, MMN and variants family.

Proclamations are an official declaration that will become a permanent part of your council’s minutes and get featured on their website.

Proclamations create awareness, and give visibility to the community which in turn helps every GBS, CIDP, and MMN patient and their family.
